It takes practice to make perfect! Well let me tell you it's perfectly true. Macarons have become more popular over these past few years. With a wide variety of flavors, such as; pistachio, rose, lemon, honey, caramel, chocolate and many more, you don't need to look further for the next dessert to buy. Its delicate and smooth texture will simply give an exquisite taste in your mouth. |
I've heard many people say that it was very challenging, so I decided to try it for myself, after all how bad could it get? As it turned out, it wasn't as easy as I thought; I had to do the recipe twice! All this to prove that you really have to pay attention to the instructions. Only a little mistake cost me the whole recipe, I had forgotten to let them rest before putting them in the oven, as simple as it seemed it was a crucial step and they ended up all flat which was not my goal. |
On my second try, I got exactly what i wanted, they call them 'feet' which is the 'ruffled circumference'. They were perfectly cooked and had that crisp that I was looking for. This part was the longest one, I believed it made me work on my patience and precision. Without it the macarons wouldn't have turned out this way. Although their shape is not perfect and exactly the same i'm proud of the result. |
This recipe has proven me that I am capable of doing things I never thought I could do. With a little determination anything is possible, and that trying again is worth it! Seeing the way macarons were done, it was really impressive and to think that I was able to do some on my own I was impressed of myself. They actually turned out pretty good, I had found this recipe on Youtube and they were raspberry flavored. The filling was too much of a liquid consistency to my liking but overall for the second time I tried it I believe I didn't do quite bad. |
Never give up on your goals, it's always worth it in the end! If you would like the recipe here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJ636Y8N6E8
